Requirements

Education & Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Class 8 pass certificate

• Preferred: Automobile certificate course or equivalent technical training

• License: Valid light vehicle driving license is mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in driving and basic vehicle maintenance

• Strong knowledge of local routes, road safety rules, and mechanical troubleshooting

Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of vehicle mechanics, servicing, and repair work

• Ability to perform oil changes, brake adjustments, tire rotations, and minor repairs

• Basic knowledge of generator maintenance

• Results & Quality Orientation – Maintain high standards of work

• Stress Management – Handle long hours or emergency repairs effectively

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties:

• Safely transport passengers and goods to assigned destinations while respecting traffic laws and MSF security rules

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and required documents (logbook, insurance, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, warning triangle, spare oil, etc.)

• Report accidents, breakdowns, or incidents immediately to the line manager

Mechanical & Maintenance Duties:

• Conduct routine servicing and safety checks for all MSF vehicles and generators

• Perform minor repairs and coordinate with external workshops for major issues

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, stock records, and spare parts inventory

• Inspect vehicles and generators weekly to ensure they remain in optimal working condition

• Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical problems to reduce downtime

Fleet & Documentation Management:

• Assist the Logistics Supervisor in scheduling daily vehicle movements

• Prepare driver duty rosters and ensure operational readiness of the fleet

• Keep vehicle registration, permits, and insurance documents up to date

• Support in training and skill development of other drivers as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Permanent contract based on performance and operational needs

• Salary: BDT 47,500 (gross) – Non-negotiable, with tax deductions per national regulations

• Leave: 2 annual leave days per month worked

• Medical Insurance: For employee and direct dependents as per MSF Health Care Policy

• No relocation allowance provided

Job Highlights

Transporting MSF staff, patients and materials under good safety conditions and responsible for the fleet maintenance and the appropriate use and maintenance of MSF vehicles, in accordance with MSF rules, standards and protocols.
