Bengal Commercial Bank PLC. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Collection & Recovery to join its high-performing team. The ideal candidate will operate at the Senior Executive Officer to First Assistant Vice President level, with proven expertise in NPL (Non-Performing Loan) recovery, debt collection, and banking legal procedures. This is a critical role for ensuring portfolio health through effective loan recovery strategies, field operations, and legal coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and follow up with defaulting clients to ensure timely debt recovery and collection of receivables.
Analyze the recovery portfolio to classify and prioritize bad debt accounts.
Lead recovery efforts for Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) through calls, visits, and negotiation with clients and guarantors.
Prepare and maintain accurate MIS reports, tracking recovery progress and client status.
Issue overdue and legal notices in accordance with Bangladesh Bank (BB) guidelines and internal policy.
Collaborate with the legal department on litigation, Artha Rin Adalat cases, and court proceedings.
Monitor legal case updates and assist with case file preparation and submission.
Coordinate with branch teams and the business division during recovery drives.
Identify and assess the value of assets for recovery action or auction/sale.
Conduct field visits for client verification and support law enforcement activities tied to recovery.
Perform other duties as assigned, aligned with the bank’s recovery objectives.
Education:
MBA or Master’s degree from a recognized university.
Preference will be given to candidates with LL.B. or LL.M. qualifications.
No third class/division in any academic stage.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services.
At least 3 years must be in loan recovery or collection within a bank or NBFI.
Practical knowledge of recovery laws (e.g., Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Negotiable Instruments Act) is preferred.
Experience with field recovery operations and legal coordination is a strong advantage.
Additional Requirements:
Age not exceeding 45 years.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently in field recovery environments.
Strong proficiency in MS Office applications and report writing.
