Requirements
Education
Master of Commerce (M.Com) in Accounting.
Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce from any recognized university.
Experience
5 years of work experience.
MinimumApplicants must have experience in the NGO sector in an accounts or finance-related role.
Additional Requirements
Age: 30 to 40 years.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Skilled in Tally Accounting Software, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet & Project Management tools.
Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Officer (NGO finance & accounts role), your main duties will include:
Checking and verifying bills, vouchers, and payments in compliance with financial rules.
Assisting in the preparation of project financial statements and ensuring compliance with donors, NBR, and NGO Affairs Bureau.
Supporting internal and external audits of accounts.
Preparing and analyzing budget variance reports and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
Maintaining cash book and recording project transactions in an orderly manner.
Preparing and processing payment vouchers with proper approvals.
Assisting with bank reconciliation and preparing necessary banking documents for fund transfers.
Ensuring timely and accurate entry of daily transactions in Tally software.
Preparing staff payroll, VAT & TAX deductions, and ensuring deposits to the government treasury.
Maintaining proper filing of accounting documents, fixed asset register, and store register.
Safeguarding office cash, cheque books, and ensuring frequent cash verification.
Supporting annual audits, cash flow, and budget preparation.
