Responsibilities & Context

  • Production Oversight & Line Management
  • Manage and lead the jacket sewing production lines from start to finish.
  • Coordinate sewing processes to ensure timely delivery of production targets.
  • Monitor line efficiency, optimize manpower deployment, and reduce downtime.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions promptly.
  • Technical Expertise in Jacket Construction
  • Interpret technical sheets, CAD patterns, and construction specifications.
  • Provide training and guidance on complex sewing operations (e.g., lapels, fusings, zippers, linings).
  • Ensure precise sewing techniques for tailored jackets including formal, casual, and outerwear types.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all sewing processes meet the company’s quality standards and buyer requirements.
  • Conduct inline and end-line quality checks to prevent defects and rework.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to resolve recurring issues and maintain continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership & Skill Development
  • Supervise sewing operators, helpers, and junior technicians.
  • Identify training needs and upskill team members for specialized operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and safety on the sewing floor.
  • Coordination & Reporting
  • Work closely with cutting, finishing, and merchandising departments for smooth production flow.
  • Report daily production status, line output, efficiency, and challenges to the Production Manager.
  • Participate in buyer visits and technical audits when required.
