Employment Support Officer at HEED Bangladesh

You will also coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification and support youth in achieving their career goals.

The role also involves employer and industry engagement, including building partnerships with local businesses, organizing recruitment events, and hosting job fairs. Tracking and monitoring employment placements is essential, and you will maintain an updated database of career progress and success stories. Close collaboration with key stakeholders such as NGOs, government agencies, and private sector actors will ensure a robust employment ecosystem that supports youth from marginalized communities. Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree: CSE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or IPE from a government-approved university.

  • Master’s Degree: MBA, Management, Economics, Development Studies, Social Work, or Sociology.

  • Minimum 1st Division/Class or equivalent CGPA in academic career.

  • Professional Experience: At least 7 years, with a minimum of 3 years in skills development, employment support, or TVET management.

  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in NGO project management and working with stakeholders in apprenticeship programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Career Preparation & Counseling

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions for apprentices during and after training.

  • Assist apprentices in setting career goals and planning professional paths.

  • Conduct workshops on CV writing, interview preparation, workplace behavior, and professional ethics.

  • Coordinate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification where applicable.

2. Employment & Entrepreneurship Support

  • Match graduates with suitable job or self-employment opportunities.

  • Guide apprentices on business start-ups and connect them with financial and support services.

  • Support development of business plans, financial literacy, and basic management skills.

3. Employer & Industry Engagement

  • Establish partnerships with local employers and industry stakeholders.

  • Organize recruitment events, job fairs, and on-site interviews.

4. Placement Tracking & Monitoring

  • Maintain detailed records of job placements and follow up on employment satisfaction.

  • Update and monitor apprentice career progress using digital databases.

5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with Master Craftspersons (MCPs), Partner Organizations (POs), and local government.

  • Prepare regular progress reports, maintain documentation, and highlight success stories.

6. Community Outreach & Inclusion

  • Support outreach and mobilization of marginalized groups including girls, PWDs, and ethnic minorities.

  • Promote gender equity, inclusion, and safeguarding in all activities.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Excellent communication in English and Bangla

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, team-oriented, and passionate about social development

  • Willingness to travel frequently for field visits and program monitoring

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly salary and additional benefits including Festival Bonus, Bangla Noboborsho Allowance, and Mobile Allowance as per organizational policy.
