Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Category Planning jobs or related roles.
Prior work experience in Manufacturing (FMCG), Retail Stores, or Group of Companies is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills & Requirements
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Strong understanding of the Bangladesh retail market, customer buying behavior, and retail display standards.
Experience with modern retail distribution systems in Bangladesh.
Knowledge of promotional channels such as mobile SMS marketing, billboard campaigns, and community events.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency in MS Office and business tools.

Job Purpose
The Executive / Sr. Executive, Category Planning will focus on category management, planogram optimization, and product assortment planning. This role ensures effective store layouts, product placement strategies, and display execution to drive sales, improve profitability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize product placements, display capacities, and store layouts for new and existing items.
Maintain accurate product data, tags, and classifications across category planning systems.
Design rack layouts and planograms per store type, maximizing sales potential and visual impact.
Review shelf space allocation to balance demand, performance, and merchandising standards.
Coordinate with merchandising and promotions teams for product launches, seasonal promotions, and category adjustments.
Provide category insights to help brand principals become effective category captains.
