Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience: 5–8 years in banking system implementation or IT project management within financial institutions.
Preferred: Knowledge of accounts and finance, cloud-based systems, banking compliance standards (AML, KYC), and Oracle/SQL scripting.
Proven experience with at least one core banking system.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of banking processes, financial products, and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in Loan/Lease, Deposit, Treasury, Accounting modules, GL mapping, interest computation, product configuration, and reporting.
Project management expertise (PMP, PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
Familiarity with data migration, API integrations, system testing, and deployment of ancillary systems (RTGS, HR & Payroll, Fixed Asset).
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other tools for validation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation of core banking systems and ancillary financial software.
Analyze existing workflows, processes, and system requirements for optimization.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to align system capabilities with business needs.
Conduct gap analysis, data migration, and system integration tasks.
Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and prepare regular reports.
Perform unit, integration, and UAT testing; troubleshoot issues promptly.
Train end-users and develop comprehensive documentation and training materials.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies.
Monitor post-implementation performance and provide stabilization support.
Identify risks, escalate issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
